Kijiji Leadership

Kijiji is a student program, created uniquely for James Madison University students. Each week the students who are enrolled participate in interactive, experiential learning activities leading them to discover more about themselves, connect with other students who share similar hopes and dreams for making a positive impact on the world around them, and act together to actually influence others to make a change happen.

The logo was born out of a need for young leaders to begin influencing their peers. The name Kijiji came up in a meeting when searching for concepts that were grounded in the social change model and the basic unit of leadership in rural villages was chosen as the guiding concept behind the logo. There is a star and it is surrounded by individuals with different aspirations represented by the colors. The remain as a unit which represents the community created by these individuals.
